Specialized seminar CEMENT QUALITY, held since 2007, is intended for workers in quality management, technologists and laboratory heads of Czech and Slovak cement plants and for selected guests. It is a base to exchange the knowledge and experience among workers in cement industry and among research and practice in cement industry. A part of the seminar is also a workshop on current topics in cement production.
Following topics are discussed:
- instrumental methods and techniques usable in cement production
- low energy cement clinker and cement and their prospects
- problems in calibration of XRF and XRD analyzers
- sampling of SRF and proving of accordance of analytical results
- ensuring of quality homogenity in cement clinker and cement production
It is held in spring annually and the 10th anniversary was celebrated in 2016. The proceedings with ISBN and also a CD (with photos) for the participants are published every year.
Specialized meeting of Czech and Slovak producers of lime and limestone products – LIME SEMINAR is held since 2007 and is intended especially for workers in quality management, technologists, laboratory heads and quarry managers. The presence is open also for other interested persons. The aim of the seminar is the exchange of knowledge among research and lime production industry and related branches. It is held in autumn annually and we organized the 10th year of the seminar in 2016.
A part of the meeting is also a special excursion to selected lime works or quarry. The proceedings with ISBN and also a CD (with photos) for the participants are published every year.
